Wild Hearts & Wide Skies: Caitlin & Rob’s Ranch Wedding
ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES: What matters most is being present and savoring every single moment. When else will you be surrounded by all of your loved ones and get to say yes to forever with your favorite person? Soak… it… in.
Skip the one million flowers (and the hefty price tag) and repurpose your bouquets for the tables. Our wooden arch with just a few floral accents was stunning! Remember, guests won’t recall the exact look of the tables or how extravagant the flowers were—they’ll remember how they felt and the joy of the day.
Don’t skip the videographer! We’re so grateful we had Jasmine with us. The day flies by in the blink of an eye, and having the film to relive those moments is truly a priceless gift.
Ceremony music sets the entire tone—we spent a lot of time curating the perfect playlist, and it made all the difference.
Beer Burros were an absolute hit during cocktail hour—such a fun and memorable surprise for everyone!
Most importantly, slow down and breathe. Take moments throughout the day to soak it all in—the sights, the sounds, the love around you. These small pauses become the memories you’ll cherish forever.
ABOUT THE COUPLE + LOVE STORY: Our Story
Born in New Jersey, we each set off on separate paths—journeys that took us across the country and even around the world. But fate had a plan. We first met briefly when we were just 18, not knowing that years later, our lives would realign in Austin.
A fateful night on 6th Street and a swipe right on a dating app brought us back into each other’s orbit. Over hours of conversation at a dusty South Austin dive bar—The Little Darlin, to be exact—we felt an undeniable connection.
From that night on, things unfolded naturally, growing into a love that felt both grounding and entirely new. 2 years later, we returned to that very same spot—The Little Darlin—where we got engaged.
And as they say... the rest is history.
Wedding Day: On our wedding day at Diamond Cross Ranch, we were most excited to be surrounded by the people we love in one of the most breathtaking places we’ve ever been—Jackson Hole. Having our friends and family travel from near and far to celebrate with us in the wide-open beauty of Wyoming was something we’ll never forget.
We were especially looking forward to the moment we’d say “I do”—a simple phrase that held the weight of years of love, growth, and shared dreams. And just as we made that promise to each other, a herd of horses ran behind us across the field, wild and free. It felt like something out of a dream—symbolic, powerful, and perfectly timed.
To stand together, with the Tetons behind us, the horses running, and our loved ones gathered around, was more magical than we ever could have imagined. It felt like a dream.
WEDDING DAY DETAILS: We chose Jackson Hole and Diamond Cross Ranch for our wedding because it felt like the perfect intersection of everything we value—nature, meaning, and connection. There’s something about Jackson Hole that takes your breath away. The raw beauty of the mountains, the open sky, the stillness—it instantly grounds you. We wanted a place that felt expansive, sacred, and unforgettable, and Jackson delivered that in every way.
Diamond Cross Ranch, in particular, felt like a dream. The sweeping views of the Tetons, the golden light at sunset, the peacefulness of the land—it all felt deeply aligned with the kind of experience we wanted to share with our loved ones. The ranch’s charm and simplicity, combined with the incredible moment of horses running freely behind us as we said “I do,” made it feel like more than just a venue—it felt like a living, breathing part of our story.
We didn’t want just a wedding—we wanted an experience. A weekend of presence, celebration, and awe. And Jackson Hole gave us all of that and more.
Colors- We chose copper and navy blue as our wedding colors not only for their natural beauty, but also for the deeper meaning they hold—especially within Native American traditions, which we deeply respect and admire. Blue is often seen as a sacred color, symbolizing the sky, water, and spirit—representing peace, protection, and the infinite. Copper, with its warm, earthy glow, has long been revered for its grounding energy, its connection to the earth, and its healing properties. Together, the two elements reflect balance—sky and soil, spirit and body, stillness and strength. In weaving these tones throughout our day, we hoped to honor the land we stood on, the ancestors who walked it before us, and the sacredness of beginning a new chapter together under the vast Wyoming sky. This rich symbolism of copper and blue blended seamlessly with our romantic vision—lace details, the soft glow of candlelight, and deep, moody florals brought warmth, depth, and intention to the day. We wanted everything to feel both grounded and ethereal, timeless and soulful. These elements helped bring our love story to life in a way that honored both the sacredness of the land and the intimacy of our connection.
Favorite Moments of the Day: Our first look at the Mountain Overlook in the park was unforgettable—just the two of us surrounded by sweeping views and sagebrush. Shoutout to our amazing photographer for lending me her boots so I could hike out safely without spraining an ankle!
Walking down the aisle at Diamond Cross Ranch to Outro by M83 felt like stepping into another world—completely surreal. The ceremony was full of laughter, tears, and raw emotion. And just after we kissed, the horses ran behind us as All You Need Is Love played—it was truly cinematic.
Golden hour brought even more magic. Our time with the horses as the sun began to set was one of the most peaceful and awe-inspiring moments of the day. Our incredible photo and video team captured it all as we took a quiet moment to be alone, soaking in the view of the sunset over the mountains while our guests watched from a distance. Seeing the horses being gently herded by a cattle dog across the open land felt like a scene from a movie—one we wish we could replay again and again.
The heartfelt speeches, our first dances, tearing up the dance floor with everyone we love, and of course—the beer burros—every moment was more perfect than we could have ever imagined.
Our First Video Reaction: We were weeping—truly all the feels. Watching it took me right back to every beautiful moment of the day. Our parents cry every time they watch it, too. It’s truly the gift that keeps on giving & she did such a beautiful job. It's epic!
