Peace, presence, and God’s beauty: Garland & Bryce’s Jackson Hole Wedding

ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES: Any advice you’d share with other couples planning their wedding?
Everyone says it—but it’s true: don’t sweat the small stuff. Tiny details that may feel big in the planning phase are things most guests won’t even notice. What really matters is how you feel that day, and the best way to enjoy it is by trusting the vendors you chose. You picked them for a reason—let them do what they do best, and just go with it.

The day flies by faster than you can imagine. Having a solid team of vendors working behind the scenes made it possible for us to be fully present. We weren’t worried about logistics or timelines—we just got to soak up every moment, laugh with our friends, hold hands during golden hour, and really feel the love surrounding us.

Looking back, what mattered most to you about your wedding day?
What mattered most was being present with each other and feeling the overwhelming love from everyone around us. The energy, the joy, the peaceful moments in between—it was everything we hoped for. We were surrounded by the people who mean the most to us, in a place that means so much to us, and all the details just added to that magic. At the end of the day, it wasn’t about perfection—it was about presence, love, and the beginning of forever.

ABOUT THE COUPLE + LOVE STORY: Tell us a bit about how you met and fell in love.
Bryce and I met our freshman year at the University of Georgia when we were set up for my sorority’s biggest date night of the year—Gator Hunt, held the weekend before the UGA vs. Florida game. What started as a fun night out quickly turned into something more. We ended up going to all four Gator Hunts together throughout college, and by our senior year, we were honored as the “Gator Hunt couple to get married”—a title given to one of the rare couples who had shared all four years of the event together.
Our relationship grew during those college years, and one of the things we fell in love with together was traveling. Exploring new places side by side became one of our favorite things to do.

How did you get engaged? Share your proposal story.
During the pandemic, we took a trip to Jackson Hole and fell in love—with each other all over again, and with the natural beauty of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. I began dreaming of getting married in such a breathtaking and meaningful place. In 2023, Bryce made that dream even more special by proposing during one of our family trips there. It was perfect—personal, thoughtful, and surrounded by the beauty that had come to mean so much to us. Not long after, we knew there was no better place to say “I do.”

What were you most excited for on your wedding day?
We were most excited to share this incredibly special place with our loved ones. To have so many of our favorite people gathered in a place that held so much meaning to us felt like such a gift. We wanted our friends and family to experience the beauty and stillness of the mountains, the sense of wonder we always feel there, and the undeniable fingerprint of God’s handiwork. It was a weekend full of joy, deep gratitude, and unforgettable memories—the very best days of our lives.

WEDDING DAY DETAILS: What inspired the style or theme of your wedding?
The vision for our wedding was to blend timeless elegance with a romantic Western flair—something that felt classic yet deeply personal to us. I always imagined a style that was traditional but still full of character and charm. Think Bridgerton meets the Grand Tetons. Our vendors brought that vision to life so beautifully—from the soft mix of pastels and brighter tones in the florals to the string quartet that played during the ceremony. Every detail, from the guests’ attire to the decor, felt like it struck the perfect balance of refined and relaxed. It was exactly what we dreamed of—elegant, warm, and grounded in the natural beauty around us.

Where was your wedding held, and why did you choose that location?
Our wedding took place at Diamond Cross Ranch in Jackson Hole. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was the place. The views are absolutely breathtaking, with the Tetons standing tall in the background—it felt like God’s masterpiece surrounding us. The venue also had everything we were looking for: a beautiful indoor reception space, room for all our guests to feel comfortable, and a seamless blend of rustic charm and timeless beauty. It was the perfect package.

What were some of your favorite moments from the day?
It’s nearly impossible to pick just a few! The entire weekend was so special, but our welcome dinner at the Virginian Lodge truly set the tone. It had a laid-back Western vibe, with personal touches like live guest watercolor portraits by Hannah Gandy, beautiful rentals from The White Antler, music from Cliff Miller, and heartfelt speeches from our closest friends and family. It felt intimate, joyful, and full of love.
On our wedding day, the special moments started early—from getting ready at the Virginian to sharing our first looks. We even stopped to take photos beneath the Tetons before the ceremony, which felt like a pause in time to soak everything in. The ceremony itself was beautiful and emotional, and our band kept the energy going all night. Every detail came together perfectly—it was the best day of our lives.

How did you feel watching your wedding film for the first time?
We were still on our honeymoon when we received our teaser trailer, and we must’ve watched it a hundred times. It was like re-living the most incredible weekend of our lives. Jas with Blume Media did such an amazing job capturing not only the moments but the emotion and energy of the entire celebration. The full video felt like a love letter—to each other, and to all the people who surrounded us with their love and support. It’s a treasure we’ll keep forever.

Is there a vendor or detail you’d especially recommend to future brides? Why?
Yes—several standouts truly made our day exceptional:
• Hannah G. Wacter (@hannahgwacter.fineart): Hannah’s work was one of the most unique and meaningful elements of our wedding. She painted a live wedding scene during our ceremony and offered live watercolor guest portraits at our welcome dinner. It gave our guests something incredibly personal to take home, and the final painting from our ceremony is something we’ll treasure forever. She added so much warmth and beauty to both events.
• Our Catering Teams: Both @threepeaksrestaurant and @wyo_buffalobills absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food was a hit with all our guests—elevated, flavorful, and perfect for each vibe (formal for the wedding and fun + casual for the welcome dinner).
• Our Music: From the romantic string quartet by @snakeriverstringsco at the ceremony, to the energy of @jukeboxboise at the reception, and @cliffmillermusic at the welcome dinner—each brought a unique sound that completely set the tone. The music truly carried the emotion and celebration from one moment to the next.
• The Venue: @diamondcrossranch gave us the most breathtaking backdrop we could have imagined. The Teton views, the peacefulness of the ranch, and the overall experience made it feel like a true destination wedding—while still keeping things comfortable and guest-friendly.
• Photo & Video: @sarahsoulseedphoto and @blumemedia made us feel so comfortable and cared for. They captured everything so organically—never intrusive, always present—and the final photos and films are beyond what we could have hoped for. Jas from Blume especially made a lasting impression with her calm presence and ability to capture the emotion of every single moment so beautifully.

Were there any personal or cultural elements that made your wedding unique?
Yes—what made our wedding truly special was the deep connection we have with the location. Jackson Hole and the Tetons became a very meaningful place for us during the pandemic. It’s where we felt peace, presence, and God’s beauty all around us. Getting engaged and later married there felt deeply personal and spiritual.

We also leaned into a blend of elegance and Western charm. From our formal wedding day to our relaxed, Western-style welcome dinner at the Virginian Lodge, the weekend reflected who we are and what we love: timeless beauty, casual warmth, and joyful celebration with the people who mean the most to us.

“Working with Blume Media was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Jas was incredible from start to finish—calm, kind, and so professional. What stood out the most was her ability to capture every intimate and emotional moment without ever interrupting them. She had this quiet presence that felt like a gentle reassurance when we needed it, but otherwise let the day unfold naturally. Nothing ever felt staged or forced. She allowed us to just be in the moment while somehow managing to film it all so beautifully.”

What stood out to you about your wedding film?
The way Jas wove together all the special moments from our weekend was truly breathtaking. The film feels like us—timeless, romantic, and deeply personal. Every time we watch it, we feel like we’re right back in those mountains, surrounded by our favorite people. Even the parts of the day that flew by in real time—things we didn’t fully get to absorb in the moment—were captured in such a meaningful way. We opted for a teaser trailer, a highlight film, and a full-length video, and we’re so glad we did. Each one lets us relive the day from a slightly different lens, and together, they tell the full story of the best weekend of our lives.

Would you recommend Blume to other couples?
Absolutely. If you’re looking for wedding films that are elegant, emotional, and timeless, Blume is everything you could hope for. Jas has an incredible eye for storytelling, and her work speaks for itself. But more than that, she made us feel truly comfortable and cared for—not just another wedding on the calendar. Our video is one of the most treasured things we have from the entire experience, and we’d recommend her a thousand times over.
