ABOUT THE COUPLE + LOVE STORY: Peyton and I have been together since middle school, where we never would have imagined that we would be here today married! We have both been so lucky to watch each other grow into the people we are today and love each other through each version of ourselves. We got engaged on a boat in Positano, Italy! We decided to go to Italy after a challenging year with me in veterinary school and Peyton working. I did most of the planning, but little did I know Peyton had his proposal planned as well. It is a long and funny story but to sum it up it was the only day it rained while we were there (of course) and my dress strapped broke so Peyton had to convince me to buy a new dress somehow, which I did, but all these imperfections made it one of my favorite stories to tell because I really had no idea he was proposing to me that day. What I was most excited for on our wedding day was to finally get to marry the love of my life in front of our friends and family. It was such a special day that was unforgettable. WEDDING DAY DETAILS: We both love being outside, and I love everything about nature and animals that when we found Diamond Cross it felt like such a perfect mix of all of these things. We wanted the wedding to feel timeless and romantic so I decided on the pale yellow color to accent the greenery and the mountains. When everything came together, it was beautiful. Some of my favorite moments from the day came from the ceremony where we were able to stand in front of one another and say our vows that we both worked hard to write. It was difficult to condense our relationship with how long we have known each other into only so many minutes. But in that moment all the planning and the stress melted away and all that mattered was we were really getting married, it felt surreal. Watching the wedding film for the first time was like reliving the day all over again. Peyton and I both cried watching it back, seeing so much love we have for each other but also the love that surrounded us that day as well.
VENDORS & DETAILS: Key vendors were definitely the flowers!! They made the whole wedding come together and looked stunning. Those were done by @plushfloral. I also couldn't have done it without my wedding planner Shelby, she was so helpful with everything along the way making sure we were on track and where we needed to be with things @TheWhiteAntler. Lastly, our photographer, Sarah, was AMAZING. I would specifically recommend her to any future bride. She captured our photos with such beauty and she got every moment that I could've wanted captured, seriously, every picture was stunning @Sarahpennyphotography.
ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES: Advice would be to do the film if you are on the fence about it! We weren't sure we would be able to add this cost to our budget and we weren't sure if it was something we even really cared to have. I AM SO GLAD WE DID IT! I would say to never question whether or not film is worth it because it truly is. Being able to watch our wedding day back anytime we want is truly priceless. The day goes by so fast, you will want a video to always have of it. I would also say what mattered most was spending that week in Wyoming with both of our families. We have so many memories now of Yellowstone, white water rafting, and just being together even before the wedding and that is truly what it is all about, bringing two families together to be one. Once the wedding day came, it was so special to be surrounded by so much love and that is truly all that matters.
